Patience, backwards
$65.00
The lobster boat Patience sits tied up at the Fish Pier in Portland, Maine in June 2025. This hand-made, 4x5-inch tintype on aluminum was made via the 19th century's wet plate collodion process, on site, from the back of my sidecar motorcycle, on the pier. The name of the boat appears backwards because, although it looks like a positive image, tintypes are, in fact, negatives on a black background. Hence, everything is reversed.
