Hand-colored Wagon Wheels
$45.00
A hand-colored, 4x5 inch tintype on aluminum made via the 19th century wet plate collodion process. This is a one-of-a-kind, unique object. There are no copies. I added hand-tinted color before the final, varnishing step. This was a common practice, especially with portraits, in the 1800s.
These are wagon wheels on John Coffer's farm. John is the man who taught me how to make tintypes.
